Yes, at the time that this watch was made. In 1960, Zenith had acquired Martel, the manufacture that made Universal Geneve's chronograph movements, turning the former Universal Geneve base chronograph caliber into the Zenith 146 (and acquiring some serious chronograph know-how which ultimately bore fruit in the Primero, and forcing Universal to turn to the Valjoux 72 for all those lovely late Compaxes and Space Compaxes - thus are the stories of UG and Zenith inextricably intertwined ). The 146 remained Zenith's work-horse chronograph movement until 1969, and even a bit beyond.

I'm actually the one selling it. If you have any questions, let me know. If you'd like to give an offer, I'm always up for selling within the forum.

Hands look re-lumed, strange damage to the bead on the bezel and most curious of all, there seems to be some kind of "ghost" image under the white of the sub-dials in the close-up picture.

it ain't - at least not by me. We haven't got an "Interesting watches on Ebay" thread. Perhaps we should, as most of the watches here are posted for discussion rather than as outright recommendations.

Looks like my favorite socialist pawnbroker* (an hilarious contradiction in every term and concept imaginable) got his hands on a pretty good condition el primero aero.

I've bought some really cool stuff from this particular comrade over the years - Denver and the State of Colorado is full of people who love cool toys. And, some unabashed communists as well.

Neway - Can someone tell me the bottom dollar value of this sort of watch...$3,600.00? is that too low??

such a pretty design WRT the nails of paris bracelet and matching dial. Zenith sure knows how to make a nice watch.

    Thank you for the help.

This thread will continue as it always had but the recommendations here once accepted will be added to the Omegaforums Recommended Auctions page:

    http://omegaforums.net/auctions/

It'll be accessible from the top level nav by clicking on the hammer symbol. This is going to be expanded further in the future and act as testing bed for some future auction related projects we're currently working on.

Holy cow. Talk about taking enabling to the next level- a veritable sweetshop of watch porn with counters ticking down! If I spend too much time looking at that I might explode. Or buy something.

Not for the quartzophobe, US shipping only, and a bit of a gamble... but a very attractive price on this Time Command with box and papers.
