(recommended reading) Walt Odets' review of Saxonia

Please keep in mind Walt is/was not a watchmaker, and his knowledge of watchmaking was rather limited (at least based on what some TZ mods have told me about him in the past). When he says things like the amplitude on the Explorer was "adequate" at 294 in horizontal but finer watches would give 310 (indicating he feels it should be higher on the Rolex), this illustrates to me that he really doesn't understand the implications of how brands do things differently, and certainly has no knowledge of Rolex specs...

I would take his technical conclusions with a grain of salt personally...
