If you're looking into IWC, you should seriously consider keeping an eye on this and maybe making a last second snipe:

It's about the nicest specimen I've seen, and has all the goodies. Ken is a great seller too - I've bought from him recently.

Here's the rest of his watches running on eBay now:

    Happy hunting!

I recommended this watch to another member here before it was listed on eBay. It could have been purchased outright for $1,200. Possibly less.

Thought about this one for me also. But I have one IWC and some other priorities right now.

Someone will pay more. Probably a lot more.

Place your bets! I'll say it sells for $1680...... and that's probably underbidding by a bit.

Why yes, yes I have - on my wrist! ;)

It went for just over 1500 dollars. I went to 1200 just because it is beautiful, I didn t want it that much and my watch fund is almost gone for this year but I could have robbed my holiday fund for a few hundred quid. I hope someone from the forum got it though, it is a lovely watch.

What's really odd to me is that this IWC went for so much less than the cal. 1011 Omega pie-pan from the same seller ($2,025).

I love Omega, and own an example of this "rare bird" watch, but IMHO the IWC is a superior watch in better condition.

BTW, the Omega is not as rare as once thought, as many pieces are now being sold off by Japanese collectors. I've seen about a half-dozen of these in 2015 alone.

To think, one could have had the IWC for $1,000 or so a couple of weeks ago. ::shy::

I don t usually buy other brands than Omega because there are too many watches that I would want to own, but the fact that this one is so nice and the fact that it is a NOS, I thought it was worth a cheeky bid, sometimes you get lucky. Even at 1500 or so dollars it was a steal.

I'd tend to agree on that Constellation, its not like its a great movement either compared to the earlier ones. So many of the Japanese models are out there but not seen due to the Japanese collectors tending to keep to their own language and websites online.
