strap alert

looks like a 20mm..maybe 19mm........worth 50-100 alone

watch seems like a larger skin diver as well. but it comes with a few issues..

shoot for $75-100 offer ...contemplate fixing or re-sell without strap..if you're in the market for a vintage tropic

I was going to say don’t buy that watch! the owner has a terrible skin condition. But I think it’s just in a leather watch pillow

I've seen a few listings where the seller used a Halloween dismembered rubber hand or arm for the watch display- that's always a double take.

Use a skeletal dirt caked forearm held in the mouth of a large dog, that should turn some heads.

Out for a walk yesterday and someone’s dog came out of the bush with a giant jaw in its mouth. So disturbing, your mind immediately recognizes something you’ve never seen before. There haven’t been bears here in 60 years, so no idea what the jaw belonged to. Plus, the teeth were wrong. Anywho, back to eBay deals...

I own one of these and of course since I own one, I always look at others. This seems to have a scratch on the dial, I thought it was crystal at first but it may be the dial above 5. Look closely before jumping

and contrary to what the seller may think, it's not a relume- that's the orginal lume- the hand color however...haven't seen that color before...but may be original.
I'm 99% certain the scratch is on the crystal. See how it "moves" in the photos below, depending on the angle. Not saying the dial is perfect, but that scratch is above the dial.

Is there an issue with the lume on the dial not matching the lume on the hands?

Could be. Both colors were used in these older dive watches, and neither looks like a relume. Best guess is that someone replaced the hands.
By the way, if someone wants to point me to a watch with that Atlas handset, I'd be eternally grateful. 😀

Hands are original- I just checked mine and they are identical.
