Nice looking Tissot Seastar, dial is great, lume pips match the hands and are light custard yellow. Case looks razor sharp, crystal is cracked so that needs replacment. Seller knows nothing about watches so who knows how it runs.

Oof! Those are much fancier than the last! I can’t tell, but do they articulate to shape to the wrist better? How they rest against the case looks like they potentially pivot

A step up and a grey dial. Later 70s Bulova can be a hit or miss but I don't mind this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/303680410451Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

    My new motto

That will also be on my tombstone if my wife finds any more of the Ebay boxes being delivered....another batch due today. Hehe....its like Christmas. Actually its my birthday on Friday so I have a great excuse.

On the theme of bitten by a bargain- I got this great Seiko mini turtle for what seemed like a too good to be true price (I have been wanting one of these since they came out-small seiko). I made a low ball offer when it was listed and the seller jumped at it...hmmm, he even threw in a Gecko Tropic strap.

Turns out, it stops once you lay it down overnight. Will start again when wound but then stops again. May have been a problem in shipping, he may have known about it before and thus was so eager to sell. I can get a whole replacement movement for $35 which still makes it far less than trying to buy another one, but I find it ironic that the newest watch in my collection doesn't run out of the box yet the 60 year old watch that came the same day is running within COCS....ugh!

Try demagnetising it - I do it on watches like that with often good results. Sometimes the post service checking machines can throw these old movements out.

Stainless Certina with nice looking dial behind the crystal (possibly nothing a wet sand couldn't fix), case looks sharp- crown is obviously not correct but easily resolved.

I watched it for a bit with an hour left. Didn't seem like many bidders too.

So update on the Seiko Mini-turtle:
Took it to my watch handy friend (not a watchmaker), and he pulled the back, took off the rotor, tipped it over and things fell out. Seems the bottom balance jewel and retainer had come undone and that explains why the watch would run in some positions, kind of lopey in others, and not at all lying on its back. He got them back in and it seems to be running fine now. Fingers crossed and wish they were all this easy.

I don’t think this was listed on here but it’s from a seller that I bought from this thread. It was 30 bucks and runs pretty good

    Cheap Chrono alert!

This thing is a hot mess. Dial looks like someone refinished it with a Sharpie and white-out, plated case is toast, chrono part doesn't work- but it is running, hands are there and it is a 7733, so possible worth the movement.

and I rag on it- the dial probably looks fine at arms length, who actually looks at these things in macro..except us.

Is it a radial and then lumed?

That is a tough one to call. The lume looks strange, although factory. The outer ring looks ok, but the blue/black center is funky, but the lettering looks ok. The bleeding sub-dials is the real problem, although the numerals looks ok...just too many questions to say it's legit. If not a total redial, someone tried to touch this one up
