We’ve seen our fair share of Seiko’s from this period but not many Citizens, nice find. C-cased Connie contender,
You bet. Often under €200 and man, they are so fine.

Citizens in good nick might be the last true bargains out there. Especially from about 67 to 71 they really had some great movements and they raised their game on case finishing and was on a par with the best of Seiko at the time.

Try again lads. These are no lume refs. The hands aren't filled.

8 hours to go on this. No bids at £325 for the second time of listing. UK seller.

It's back on starting at £300 and taking offers. Do you think lack of interest is because the case looks somewhat "textured"? I wonder if it has been in a war and that's the best that polishing could do for it?

I thinks it’s the sum of the sins- case has lost its brushing (I believe it should be a brushed top) doesn’t have the zenith crown, dial has spotting. It’s enough to keep me away from it.

I'm not in for it either, having just bought a similarly cased Longines Admiral (which I’ve posted ad nauseam on every possible OF thread) but, personally, I have no great problem with a polished case. In fact, I quite like them polished.

My absolute dislike is heavy patina and even slight patina can be a turn off. That said, I don’t think I’d notice the spotting - if it’s hard to see in the photos, it’d be next to invisible to my naked eye.

But I do agree about the crown.

Bulova Caravelle Diver 666
Don’t know about this one. Metal casing looks brushed? Blue lighting?

Despite the seller operating under the eBay soubriquet 'the.watch.collector', and having a variety of boxes and watches on offer, he gives virtually no information about this watch apart from it having a 37mm diameter and that it needs a service.

‘Amateur' eBay sellers, selling for the first time and offering their dad’s old watch tell more about a watch.

I know some OF members say that you really buy the seller and this may be a prime example. Although I agree with @adrian scott that it’s a nice looking piece, I think it’s a risk.

Although eBay had been broken again, this one just popped up:

Cheap diver alert- One of the many Paul’s chrome plated diver with some kind of 17 jeweled movement. I only post these if they are in great shape and a great price- this is both.

The little diver guy or maybe it's a gal on the caseback always helps make up for the chrome case. Nice example that looks NOS.
