We’ve seen several with an applied medallion there. The question I would love to see answered is if they all came with one and they so easily fell off, or if some did and some didn’t.
It seems to relate to where they were sold initially. I think there was a change of owner and the loss of the image or logo copyright in certain jurisdictions. For example the ones from Brazil all seem to have the medallions whilst Japanese models never have them.

Of course it might be the glue was better in South America….

Skylight! Has bracelet, no back medallion. This one looks really pretty- and has make offer.
If you felt like you missed out on the Technos love- here ya’ go.

No bracelet with this one but there possibly still is one available in our private sales section. This member is really good at marking things sold, so it may be worth a shot to ask.

This was a classic case of ‘buy the seller.’ I’ve been passively looking for a simple three hand for around the price of a nice dinner as my first vintage piece. This checked all the boxes and comes from a well known and trusted member of this community. James is obviously very active in this thread; not only sharing interesting finds but also sharing interesting details about them. So yeah this was a no brainer for me. I’m excited to finally wear a piece that was been around the sun more times than I have 😀

These old three handers were so comfortable with the light weight, slim profile and down-turned lugs. You will forget you even have the watch on. I am baffled why anyone wants to wear >40mm. I suppose if you thick wrists and you wanted them to look smaller.

The Longines I sold to another member here was like that- slim and sleek. I wore that regularly with a suit for work doing some seriously moving around and never felt it on my wrist. Once you get used to the smaller size (easier with long sleeves as you don’t notice it at all until you need to know the time). It’s hard to go back to a wrist anchor.
2 weeks with a Bulova A11 and my Speedmaster feels like a dinner plate.

I can only assume it’s the one I bought. I primarily collect three handers (mostly Omegas), but that Longines is the most impossibly thin and lightest watch in my collection. It’s also incredibly good looking. And it will never be sold.

Yes, that’s the one- thanks for reminding me 🤦

Starlights…
Japanese ones do come with the logo on the back too, mine has one.

Such good watches, the Conny Omega should have made.
Someone else thought so too…found this on a Japanese auction site yesterday!

Both of my Sky Lights have medallions, though they are two different designs…go figure.

Mine has the one on the left on a white dial.
I’ve definitely seen the one on the right as well.

The Sky Lights are spectacular, mixing some of the best '50s and '60s design elements out there into a coherent whole. I have been on the lookout for one for a while, but the thing I expect I won't be able to get over is the oversizedness of the hands in relation to the pie pan.

Sorry. Shouldn’t have said…never… for Japanese versions. It was after 1982. Change of ownership and it’s now a Brazilian company. Before 1982 all Far Eastern versions should have medallion.

I think.

Nice chrome plated Landeron based late 40’s/early 50’s chrono branded by Stetson (who care who’s name is on the dial with these). These chrome plated Chrono’s are typically beaten to hell, this one shows minor plate wear on the crown/pusher side but otherwise seems to be in excellent shape.
Seller says running well and tested for several days. The dial is truly stunning on this and I love the shape of the pushers as opposed to just the rectangular blocks.
Sellers says 36.5 mm which is actually on the larger side for these.
If you are not familiar with chronographs from this era, it will NOT be in the slightest way waterproof (hence why most of these dials are trashed) and it will at some point require a service which may cost as much as you paid for the watch itself.
But we buy watches like this because they are are awesome, not because it is smart.

If a velour leisure suit has been your Covid wardrobe, I think we found your watch. Nice mid 70’s gold plated Elgin with electric blue dial and JB Champion bracelet. This chunck-o’-disco is ready for white patent leather shoes and as many gold sex chains as you can nestle in your chest hair. Has make offer- buy it for fun, paying full price may be embarrassing.
