Cute little 33mm stainless Bulova, dial looks nice under the crystal which may polish out. Case has honest wear and looks sharp with good looking lug shape. Seller says runs, that’s about all we know. Not bad for asking, has make offer.

Bulova collector hint- this has a 1968 11BLACD movement…same as the first year 666 Oceanographer…for those who like to hoard parts. 😗

So this showed up today. I don't think I've ever received such a nice package from an Ebay seller. Look at the box and note!

Thx again to JW for the spot! I need to find a simpler strap for the wife. No way will she dig the nato style....

Ok, I don’t rescind my comments on him abusing the word “military” in his listing of non-military watches, but that dude is a class act! Sins forgiven.
And this is the correct strap (first one that popped up in a search, there may be others- didn’t look).

Guys, let @timoss buy one first before you gobble the rest up on eBay.

Glad you got it! I’m of the firm belief that examples as good as these will never be cheaper than they are today

Our friends in Indiana have posted a few gems, among them is this lovely Bulova 3818A (the one that preceded the Benrus and Hamilton as the Military watch of choice for US armed forces.
This watch was the ground troop companion piece to the A17 pilots watch- the main differences being the hands (A17 had syringe hands) and hacking movement. But, many of the 3818’s got hacking anyway (like mine) as I guess they just threw in whatever movement they had at the time- don’t know, have to ask Bulova…oh wait, we can’t.
Frankly, I prefer the 3818 over the A17 as I love the hands- but both models are worthy of collecting.

I would normally say this is top of the market for these watches, but as condition reigns, this one is up there among the better ones (back scratches aside). The dials are usually unreadable as the lume turns to black moldy funk. This one is brighter than mine. Lume looks original to me with some powdery edges. These were never perfect- they were made mass military consumption under contract.
If you asked any 3818 owner if they would sell their best example for $500, you would get a resounding laugh followed by…uh, no.

Comes on correct military (yes, real military) 16mm straps and has make offer. I would throw $400 out, if you really want it go $450-475, this is a nice one.

I guess the days of <$300 good examples of these are long gone.

I think the group here might like these chronos. I'd pick up the Wakmann if not for my hunt for an unpolished Polerouter.

It’s an unpolished Vintage 37mm Wakmann 71.1309.70 Triple Date Chronograph Valjoux 72 C starting at $3,944.58 USD. On eBay from an established dealer.

Also, another unpolished Vintage 40mm Breitling Chrono-Matic 2110, from the same seller but directly for $2,980.00 USD.
