Not sure it's worth this much but the dial on this one looks great and the chrome plated case looks quite clean.
Great looking little diver by all means.

Dial is indeed fabulous, though only the 6th photo shows it. Also refreshing to see a seller who doesn't ask $350 for a $100 watch.

So this Turler Connie has less than 3 hours to run on eBay. No doubt there’ll be a flurry at the end but it may be under the radar as it’s badly described and the pictures are poor. It’s risky - the case in pretty beaten up but it is also likely to clean up to a better condition than it’s in now.

It’s based in the UK and listed on eBay.co.uk, but the auction is in dollars for some reason I can’t fathom.

It sold, anyone here get it? If so, congrats!

That is exactly what these should sell for. Perhaps the seller is a member here who is just too honorable to sell it for $300

Looks like a refinished dial to me!
Possible incorrect sweep second hand as well

Aren't all Turler's refinished by definition?

Interesting- it says its being delivered from mexico. This seems to be a weird vaguary of ebay now, the seller location and item location don’t seem to match.

I wouldn't say so. Turler didn't refinish the entire dial when adding their name.
It seems like an easy way for a dial refinisher to give "value" and "originality" to a watch.

Cheapie skin diver with some issues (case wear, needs service) but the dial and hands look great and it's on an (original?) tropic-like bracelet. Great look.

Ok, who bought it?!

Was sorely tempted, but it went while I was researching what they are worth to make an offer. I think it will be a DS-2 for me first..

I'm working on a "definitive Certina buying thread." It will be anything but definitive, TBH, but it will hopefully give some helpful guidance to those who are considering picking one up in the near future.

Circa 1958 Tissot Seastar, manual-wind, steel case, in reasonable shape for a reasonable price ($150) on the 'Bay. Great starter watch for someone wanting to try vintage. It even retains its original signed crown! 👍

That is great. I look forward to it.
