If the 70s are making a comeback, someone better jump on this one. Stainless steel Bulova in incredible condition, in box to boot.
I'm holding back myself cause this thing is pretty!

My Dad wore a very similar watch back then so it appeals to me. Not in the best condition, but a working automatic for $100 is pretty nice deal, and the seller accepts offers. That dial just belongs on a disco dance floor.

My dad wore an octagonal two tone Concord with integrated stainless bracelet (with my brother now)...if I could go back in time, I would have told him to go for the Octagonal Zenith Defy- probably was in the case right next to the Concord.

Someone grabbed it. Hopefully a wrist shot lands in this feed in the next few days!

It might take a bit longer as I’ve had to have it shipped to a friend in LA... once travel restrictions lift I’ll send some pics!

Thanks @Thommas for the spot! It’s a lovely looking watch...

Not exactly cheap, but this is a pretty amazing variation on that theme. Makes me wonder if the oval shaped case is really on its way back.

Ok, I'm going to post this here, in hopes that someone from OF wants it/gets it as this is likely a pretty good deal on a rare watch. Some of you likely remember the Milus Snow Star, and the BS that was being thrown about several years ago about how it was in a WWII "Life barter" kit. Yeah, it was definitely in a kit like that, but wasn't from WWII just based on the features of the watch. Regardless, the watches are not common, and Milus themselves did a re-issue, somewhat based on the incorrect information from a certain "Military Historian".

I've not seen an actual one of the Life barter issued Snow Stars for sale outside the whole kit (and for an exorbitant price). But someone right now has one that they picked up from a retiree for $740 BIN - the watch is basically brand new. This was $865 yesterday, so it looks like the seller is motivated on it. This is definitely the one that came with the kit though, based on the numbers on the dial. I'd love to pick it up, but $700+ is outside my spending limit.

I've had my eye on that one for a while now, and I believe the seller sent me an offer at some point. Can't remember for exactly how much.
I'm less bothered by the chrome case that seems to be in nice shape than the missing lume on the minute hand— which would be a pain to restore to match the rest of the watch.

The dial and general look on that one are fantastic!

I hope it was someone here! I have no doubt it was worth about twice what was being asked, to the right buyer.

It would seem that the seller has relisted it without a 'buy it now' price. Strange thing.

No, the buy now option closes once an item receives a bid. Two people have made bids.

I missed out on this (not that I should be getting anything else, but I'm looking for a wee celebration for some success at work). This is a good price for a black dialed dress watch. Thanks for reminding me that I needed one...

eBay gives you an option to list for free if you opt for the “make offer” selection. As @Nepomuceño said, it disappears once someone bids. Sometimes if you act fast with a realistic offer they will bite. But once some idiot throws in a $3 bid, we all lose the chance to grab it fast.
