I am sure she will be up and running in no time. It really is a cool variation of that watch. I have seen others and I think the ruby and the style of those hands are really cool. Also, the root beer colored bezel is a nice touch.

Yeah, I texted my guy and he said canon wheel is not a big deal. The problem is the prioritizing what get bumped to squeeze this one in....hmmm. He is sitting on over 25 of mine right now....I may have a problem.

Teachable moment with a watch that’s near and dear to my heart- the first Gen Bulova Snorkel.

Wrong h/m hands, second hand never came on a 666, bad redial & relume, case and bezel have been polished within an inch of their lives wrong crystal, wrong crown- way overpriced and it’s only worth the value of the movement (around $100) technically since everything here is a disaster:

This one was 100% spot on, dial is excellent, hands, crystal, crown are all correct- I kick myself for not bidding-someone got one hell of a deal.

Just got an unsolicited offer for this guy. Plated diver but clean and lovely dial/hands. Not running but if you can tinker, it may be worth getting it back to life.

Oh- that’s just my watch handy friend- he does most of the easy jobs (cheaper watches). I pay him in watches, parts, supplies, etc.
The good stuff goes to my watchmaker and he has 4 at the moment with another dozen that are in queue (all in rotation but due for a real service). I have offered to be a part of his retirement plan- his wife is thoroughly in favor of that.

I would say about 75% of the time when viewing this thread I click the eBay screenshot, it goes full screen, and then I try to swipe right to get the next picture.

How about the rest of you?

    Lol! Of course.

So when you finally fix all of these watches and realize you have a problem (I speak from no personal experience here ) you should sell them here so everyone can have a crack at them.

Yeah, not a fan of these kind of divers. JG cool factor aside, it was a disposable watch.

If you like patina- the good kind, not the bad kind- this is awesome. I hate patina but can a appreciate this watch. If it were less “patina’d”, it would be mine.
Stainless Duguena Watertrip with shovel hands and plenty of character. Missing rotor but hand winds and it has a very common Swiss movement so rotors can be had from parts movements (assume it was a bad bearing and they just removed it and went manual wind). About the same size and style as the Helbros- around 37-38 I assume- this won’t last long.

I have been following this one for a while. It was initially priced a lot higher than this and failed to sell repeatedly. Each time it was relisted the seller lowered the price but that never helped. It eventually disappeared and I thought it was purchased, but I guess not.
