Thanks for making us feel better (well one person might be kicking themselves if they didn't see that).
Just reach out to Norfolk- he probably has a few.

Ok, this thing is a hot mess in terms of being historically accurate, but the seller is very forthcoming about it- he relumed it, hands aren’t correct, but he did service it, the dial is attractive and it has fancy lugs. And all for $75 or obo. It is 31mm so on the smaller side- but is a nice value watch.

OF bargain alert!

This one brought to us by @Toishome - a lovely black dialed TV Geneve with the workhorse 1012 movement- last gasp of Omega in-house for the 70’s and among their best movements. This is the epitome of 70’s cool.
I know @SadKen has a soft spot for this era of mid-century style.

I agree, I posted this one a few pages back. @Toishome is one to watch. He has posted several nice watches in the ~$500 range in the last year. They always seem to be well-priced nice watches.

Still stuck in the 70’s apparently-
Certina Argonaut- nice angular case, dial looks clean, bracelet may be aftermarket- seller looks like he’s cleaning out a watchmaker’s estate. Price is nice- even with the $30 shipping, but watch is on the smaller side.

Ha! First thing I look for now is the bezel when bidding. I have at least 6 sitting in a drawer bezel-less. Several are HD660s. Note a lot of parts are not interchangeable. As I have discovered. There’s a lot of variety with those front loading cases. Depth. Crown position. Tube height. And width. Dynawind v manual etc. Some are gold or steel bezels. Some are crystals with outer chromed plastic ring. A veritable minefield.

^^^ this is why we need to be educated about the little things when we see a project watch and say “oh, I’ll take a gamble”

Thank you for thinking of me James, i have looked at it and several others recently.
I am however trying my best to wait for this 2nd lockdown to end so i can go hunting on foot.
Hoping there may be a bargain or two out there to tempt me.

For example each of these is a unique bezel and not interchangeable.

I know there is a cult following of these Spaceviews- I personally don’t care for them, but I get it.
I’ve seen these go for much more so I assume this is a good price for the condition and the seller has make offer. I know some have been cobbled, and some factory modified later so do your due diligence in knowing what is original and what isn’t.

This one is almost certainly a conversion, but as a card-carrying Spaceview cult member, it's still a very cool watch.
For the masses and my education- what’s the tell, and how is it priced in the spectrum?

Omega time!!
Stainless Seamaster, probably around ‘63-66, 562 movement, case is very sharp, non-lume dial, some light spots from moisture that may clean off but nothing that’s obnoxious. Bracelet is absolutely correct and seller says fits 6.25-6.50” but I think he meant 7.50” as that looks plenty long.
I almost made an offer on this and had to remind myself I own 3 like it that I don’t wear....but they are sooo pretty. Asking isn’t bad considering it has the correct bracelet (and if you need links they are easy to come by) and you can make an offer and possibly steal this thing.
Oh- and signed cyclops crystal! That was an option. Crown looks like a replacement but that’s an easy fix and may be the correct factory service crown- which is a good thing because it means it has been serviced at least once in its life
