I saw these a few weeks ago. They are very nice but I thought maybe a bit pricey. Looks like the black one is gone..so congratulations!?..lol

I think the price is quite good. Compare one of these to a modern $600 (us) microbrand with an ETA 2824 clone vs. an actual ETA 2825. Plus the vintage style bracelet. I have a couple auctions I am following that close this weekend, if I don't win win one of those I might have to put an offer in on the white one if it is still there.

The more you know. Thanks for the insight. Also, you must of triggered the buy on the black one because it has been acacia for awhile lol

I saw earlier a few of you are into the Caravelle. This appears to be pretty tidy. Not my thing but perhaps for some of you.
Same seller has a Megasonic that I definitely am interested in.

And the Megasonic. The most unique watch ever. Can’t imagine it staying at the current price though

In a sense the value is a watch is what people are willing to pay for it. Price doesn't always correlate to quality. Style and name play a big role in demand If you like really small, square, and/or rectangular men's watches, you can get a quality piece for a low price. Extra funky seventies watches also go for cheap too.

The Titoni watches may or may not be a good deal, depending on your perspective. I happen to have a thing for nice vintage bracelets and ~35mm round watches. I like to wear watches in a rotation, and setting a date can be a pain. For me I will only have a mechanical watch with a date if it is quick set with the crown. No back and forth 10:00 to 2:00, push set, or non quick set date for me.

I think the Titoni brand suffers from a flood of Mumbai special redails and fakes on eBay. Patina has its place, but I am a fan of nearly new old stock condition which comes at a premium.

Nice looking GP Benrus with a rectangular case- this is a clean, simple and elegant watch. Seller says new crystal and it shows signs of life. Doesn’t give measurements but by the scale it looks to be about 25mm so midrange for size on these. Has make offer which would put it in dinner money territory.

I think it would be better to embrace the funkiness and put it on a brightly colored NATO rather than the plain black strap it is on.

I think every collection needs one square or tank watch. You could tick that box nicely for pennies here.

Anyone know about Tourist? Has a nice Valjoux. https://www.ebay.com/itm/193763555504

Doesn't really matter who Tourist is, that is a good deal for a watch in nice shape with a Valjoux chrono. Nice find, hopefully someone here snags it. The only thing is a chrono is not cheap to service. It will cost twice the selling price to service it.

I really love the charm and character of this one! How concerning would this be: Under the top pusher it looks like the case isn't connected. I'm blanking on how to better describe this. It looks like it has been worn through. Edit to add: It looks like it's beginning to happen by the bottom one too; like a pit is beginning to form (that dark cavity).

That is interesting. I have never seen anything like it. It could not have happened by regular wear, otherwise the rest of the watch would be trashed (which is not the case, it looks to be in nice shape.) I think the watch was designed that way for whatever reason. Perhaps they were trying to minimize case thickness and the movement dictated the position of the pusher relative to the line of the case. The mark by the other pusher could just be schmutz. It is a little disconcerting, but it can't be wear just look at the rest of the case. No noticeable loss of plating, and the brushed texture on top all looks nice. Maybe wait for others to weight in.

Perhaps production defect on the case? Looks like everything wasn't square and plumb when the material on the caseback was removed, and it dug into the cavity of the top pusher, which was too far elevated?
