You may be right- looking in detail those letters are off and it’s lacking the “Swiss made” that sytre’s has. Any other Tissot experts here?

Definitely see what you guys are saying but my instinct is it’s legit and the poor spacing is a bit in tolerance for the 1940’s. For me there’s an overall evenness to the patina and the puffy lume is very consistent with other examples I’ve seen. It’s the clatter to the case at 5 that really puts me off.

This definitely put me off as well. The sellers lists the case as “mint” but it definitely has some road rash that extends to that lug. I also don’t like how the “12” looks smudged out to the left.

Agree, wouldn’t fancy the job of mopping up radium.

This is a very good looking Bucherer slate grey dialed cushion. Stainless case, bricks bracelet, ETA movement- ticks all the right boxes. Not sure who made this for Bucherer but would be curious to find out. If you’ve been itching for a slate dialed C-shaped Connie, this is about as close as you’ll get for 1/6th the price.

That's not bad, a manual wind Hamilton for less than the cost of a Swatch
My thoughts exactly! That is a slick watch for the cost of dinner- without wine.

Omega Hummer- stainless uni-bracelet, looks to have several removable links so should be full length (alway a gamble with these). Brushing looks great, polished chamfer looks sharp- I don’t think this thing had much wear nor was ever polished. These are chunky watches and are a statement on the wrist.
Nice price for a fully intact Hummer- these are climbing rapidly as people realize how cool they are.

I got this. It is quite simply the most photogenic watch I have in my collection imho. I am genuinely thrilled. Movement is low quality for sure but the dial hands case and bezel are just amazing. Screw down helium crown. Obv NOT radium as dates to circa 1960-69. A winner. Thanks again team for spotting this one. Amazing.

Stunner indeed! What movement is in it? May be a candidate for an upgrade if you can find a movement with the same footprint/ hand mounting system. And many of these cheap Swiss movements were compatible with each-other for hand mount. Since it’s no date you won’t have to worry about the date window lining up

If you have been looking to add a nice Gruen bumper with sub-second to your collection, here’s one.
Case is stainless, dial has a nice even patina, lume is off the numerals in a few places but not unsightly. Crown needs to be replaced but that a pretty generic part. Seller says keeping good time. These tend to run 31-34mm, he doesn’t state the size. I own several of these- great watches.

That's a Megaquartz, not an tuning fork/hummer. Great watches but they don't hum and are pretty expensive to repair should they require (I know as I've spent a small fortune on mine).

Omegas first mass produced in-house quartz movement.

Thought it worth a mention.

@JwRosenthal can you stop looking at the US eBay site and turn your attention to eBay.co.uk please?🙄
I either need a UK counterpart with insomnia, OCD and post-hoarder syndrome, or we need to arrange an international honor program like I have done with one of our Canadian brothers.

Good catch! I am so used to seeing these as hummers I didn’t look closely at the script on the dial (was mesmerized by the sunburst pattern). Amazing how we can sometimes overlook something that blatant when we are trying to take in the whole picture

I keep pretty regular check here in the UK but to be honest these days bargain opportunities are very few and far between. Rarely anything worth sharing.

To be fair I believe there is an F300hz model with the very same case and bracelet. There were a few crossovers during that period.

So it seems- I thought we had broken eBay again as all the deals seemed to dry up over the last few weeks- then I saw an SM300 fly in less than a minute for $3k (I had my finger on the button but don’t know them well enough to be confident like I can with some other models). In hindsight- with PayPal protection and a seller with good cred- I may have missed my one chance at that watch. Deals can still be had, but the competition is fierce and we have to act swiftly.
