I wonder if Timex ever filled any orders for a non US military? I suppose if they did there would be a case back marking of some kind. IIRC There was a Timex campers/outdoors quartz watch advertised years ago that resembled the resin cased Vietnam era watches.
I'm very well pleased by my two purchases from this thread. I have the Pratina regulated to a consistent plus three seconds per 24 hour day. The "VolksBank" inscription is still a mystery. Clean as a pin with vintage pigskin strap, quite a value at $18 USD. The Caravel is keeping good time but Not as nicely as the Pratina. Probably as good as it kept when new. It appears to have been restored in recent years, the case back water resistant seal looks new. Clean as a pin and every function smooth as silk. I don't think I'll mess with the regulator for now. Often a watch gets a little stiff from years of disuse but begins to fall back into sync after wearing it for awhile. Almost too small and light , only real complaint might be the silver on silver hands and dial make seeing the spider silk thin second hand a problem depending on the lighting. Both watches with shipping cost about the same as a carton of generic smokes.
Haha! They didn't have the offer feature when contacted them. I sent them a message with an offer and they sent me a personal offer.
I've seen this ad before: but note it's an Italian ad (not US), the model is called he "camper"( although that dude ain't camping) and timex never had a contract with the US Military as far as I have ever read. That said, many watches were available in the PX's (hence the Rolex GMT & Omega Speedmaster connection to US fighter pilots despite neither being issued), and the Helbros "Invincible" was a big hit among the marines.....perhaps the Timex Camper was too.
Very pretty Accutron with bow tie lugs and stellar dial (love those sector lines). Not running, these always need a service and you have to know who can actually do the service- so don't bid on this or make an offer unless you have someone on tap that can work on Accutrons. If you do- this thing is damn pretty! https://www.ebay.com/itm/184498552605Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

I was going to post one to the thread last night, but it was an auction so it’s hard to determine if it’ll be a bargain. I plopped in the opening bid and won it but the unscrupulous seller canceled the sale this morning without warning and then lied about why I’ll be leaving him feedback to fit his service https://www.ebay.com/itm/114462213981Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
if you can still come out under $300 serviced that's still a pretty good deal. unless if you have 5 like watches just like it. then you know u have a problem. i have a couple and i still want this one... the bezel is nice on this one.
maybe the seller got wind of said thread and subsequent 20 dolla watches worth 50-100.. the 20 dolla watch that got away as seller sells it out the back for 40 or maybe it's 30mm and not 35mm
OF bargain alert! Another cool piece from @WhatYourWatchSay Stainless Doxa at 33mm, lovely dial, classic case shape with great proportions and it's a steal at the price. https://omegaforums.net/threads/doxa-automatic-caliber-as1361-circa-1950s-solid-steel-case.120492/
