i looked at that one daily and kept telling myself to Just pull the trigger and buy it. I should have listened to myself
I watched it as well for a while. It was at around $200 and then was relisted for $170. I got in an offer at $140. I'll keep a look out for another one for you 😀

@Norfolk I bought it to celebrate Lanzini's goal ⚒️

hehe! Wait till you see what I bought to celebrate the goal of the season!!! Will show and tell when it arrives....
And what a goal. I was there when Tevez scored against Spurs in 2006. Lanzini was better!!!
Btw where did you get the crossed irons text? !!! Brilliant.

As a Spurs fan that goal and second half will live in my nightmares. Fair play to West Ham 🤔

Ok someone who can tinker needs to get this - there is a at least one Longines-wittenaur movement and dial, a Le coultre dial and movement, as well as a bunch of bulova dials and movements, an unblemished looking Helbros Invincible dial and hands, as well as a bunch of other stuff. At $31 shipped I'm having a hard time not buying and parting it all out:

Welcome back @Norfolk !!
Thanks JWR....I am guessing that these may have come from gold cases and therefore are of good quality, reasonable condition and running....

Not an actually Military piece as Timed wasn't a contractor- but a popular mil-inspired piece of the time. Cheap plated Timex-
Single jewel movement- but these things are fairly indestructible. Seller says "oiled"
For whatever that means.

Nice looking Arnex stainless diver. Sellers says running but not keeping time- serivce is needed. Condition though seems to be good on this one so may be worth the investment.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/274542112370

offer 100 and let seller know it will cost 125-150 to service. that is if the seller is being honest and a service is all it needs

a nice serviced skin diver like this is well worth 250

I won the auction a few hours after the match so, assuming it arrives safely from across the pond, it will always remind me of such an amazing comeback and a cracking goal. Looking forward to seeing what you snagged too.

I found the ⚒️ amongst the emojis on my phone's keyboard

@Nepomuceño @JwRosenthal @pIoNeErOfThEnILe

In one way I would like to thank you three for opening a door to a world of shiny objects for a relatively low investment, in another way I curse you each time I open this thread!
I only need one watch, now have five and want more - what happened?

Cost - £40.....Needs a service and a re-glaze...£150 more?? It looks better in real life, honest.

Cost £30 (seems like 9k gold but no hallmarks visible) just a strap replacement, arriving tomorrow and good to go.

Both these are small by today’s standards, I have 42mm down to 34mm and get more appreciative comments on the smaller ones.

Thanks all. Keep posting.

link for anyone interested
Interesting, this thread brings me to think about how many watches our goal is. If you just want one nice vintage diver on a modest budget, this one might be a good deal. If your goal is to have your spouse mad at you for the 5th watch you bought this week, that might be a high price. How patient are we, how much does the watch speak to me? How badly to I want to deprive JW of this diver 🙄
