    Dear all

I would be grateful for recommendations for someone I can send my Speedmaster 145.022-68 transitional to.

I reached out to Al Archer awhile ago but he was understandably unable to take this on due to the high volume of requests he receives.

I'm based in Singapore but happy to ship the watch to anyone who comes strongly recommended and will treat the watch right.

    Regards
    YW

For an 861 and on the west coast of US I would say that Nesbits would be an option?

If you are already shipping from a foreign country, STS.

Thank you. I did search the site but found the responses inconclusive for someone shipping a watch from Singapore.

    Will look into STS.

Does anyone in the US have any experience sending a watch to STS? What shipping method did you use and how long did it take from shipping until return of your watch? Thanks for any information provided in advance!

Swiss Time Services in the UK seems to be highly regarded. In particular they are known to service a vintage watch in a manner that will achieve the right balance between the watch functioning correctly while maintaining it's vintage originality. When I first joined this forum, members suggested to me that this was the only place in the UK that my 1960's 105.012 should be serviced.

Coincidentally, after saving for a couple of months, I telephoned STS yesterday afternoon and was pleased to be able to have a chat with Simon Freese. He was friendly and helpful. He explained the pros and cons of replacing the crown and pushers and answered my questions regarding what should be done and how much it will cost.

I live in the UK so it is an easy journey for me to deliver my watch, but they are a 1st rate professional set up and have no problem dealing with international customers. Their web site has instructions and recommendations for sending and customer returns. Give them a call. I found them very helpful and reassuring.

    Hello all,
Any watchmaker recommendations in the US?
I am new to the forum, and am also looking for a watchmaker that I can trust for my treasured vintage Speedy Professional 145.022-ST-71. Like nihraguk, I tried to search the forum but couldn't find good results. STS sounds wonderful, but I live in the US. I have no problem mailing, but I'm hoping not to have to mail internationally.
    Best,
    rsteabo

In the US, for your watch, I recommend Jack at IWW.

Thanks guys! I have also gotten a recommendation for Henry from Watchmaking Project in NYC. He is an Omega certified watchmaker, and apparently a very nice responsive guy. Anyone have experience with them?

Drop me a PM and we can discuss. I'm a Rolex watchmaker in Toronto but I specialize in vintage chronographs in my home workshop
