Can anyone out there recommend a good 8, 10 or 12 watch box with a drawer? Preferably sub $500

No drawer, but I recently purchased this one for $100 and it comes with a customized monogram and free shipping. Real solid wood, not wood veneer, and the quality is exceptional.

I’ve been using the Tool Watch Box from Windup Watch Shop, and for $199 USD it’s been awesome. Solid sheet metal construction outside and wood inside; latches which securely close the box, and handles on the side which can fold in or out for transport or preference. The lid opens flat for access, and the hinge runs the length of the box for smooth functioning and secure closing. I looked at the Windup shop website to check the pricing, and noticed that all three colors, red, green and blue were currently sold out.

Once you get beyond a dozen watches, these clear plastic fishing tackle boxes with adjustable inserts work pretty well (and they're sub $10) 😁

And here I thought I was the only one who used Plano for their watches. Works great for spare parts too!

From Amazon. 20 watches with drawer. Vinyl, glass cover, fabric cuffs. I don’t recall price, but under $100.00 (U S).

I made my own, though I did have to buy the watch to get the box 😉. But I’ve seen these boxes sell for less than $500 and it’s quite fun to convert.

That is great! Did you make the separators/pillows yourself, or did you source the insert somewhere?

It was actually the friend of another member that made both the insert and pillows from scratch for me. I’m in the US and if I recall they are in Poland. My job was the gut the box, provide them with the measurements, and choose the material/color for the finished product. They did the rest and it’s of very high quality. I kept the color simple with black and chose a soft material.

Here are some photos they sent during the construction of it

And the day I received it

I have a Wolf box on my bureau that was right around $100 on sale that holds 18 watches with no drawer.

My Omegas live somewhere else.
