Very flattered 😬
To the OP- you do need a better strap indeed, and for that you need to measure the lug width in millimeters. I would suppose it’s a 15mm fixed lug which means it’s hard to find straps for it, however a 16mm perlon pull through might look good, and I can also send you a contact for an Italian strap maker who makes custom ordered straps for very reasonable prices and fast turn around. Below is one he made for me.

Edit/ add- a link to a previous discussion of 15mm fixed lug straps for Longines watches. The thread has since been moved to a general topic about straps.

Surprisingly, there are off-the-shelf 15mm open-ended straps here, but only in crocodile. Sorry if this source was already mentioned in the other thread, I didn't read it comprehensively.

If you're interested in what he has been up to, there's some interesting reading in this thread:

Thanks, Dan, that's a community service. I'm as progressive as the next guy, but whenever I hear someone younger than my kids calling themselves an "adviser"... well, it's just not a promising start. (We recently had a little trouble at our prime minister's office where they could have saved themselves with that principle, but hey, when it comes to watches, I draw the line!)

Not mentioned before I believe. 👍
I still think my source is much nicer and cheaper but it’s really a matter of taste and convenience.

Pictures of course needed.

Hi guys,
Not long ago, I bought an early Longines Calatrava in steel with a salmon dial/blue steel hands. Any thoughts from fellow passionate collectors? Thank you.
Wow, that is a stunning calatrava!

Hi @HS556, please see forum rules prohibiting post farming. The sales forum requires 200 meaningful posts. It doesn’t take that long if you engage in real discussions and contribute.
