I have a friend who wants a mesh bracelet for his vintage speedy. Anyone have suggestions? He would take aftermarket.

Did Omega make them also, can they still be had?

I’d try to find a genuine vintage piece, otherwise you’re copping something made in China.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, of course, but a vintage Speedmaster deserves a genuine vintage bracelet.

His has a nice tropical dial to boot. He would prefer an authentic Omega bracelet, I just wasn't sure if they're difficult to source in nice condition. Is this something that can be bought from a parts house, or do we need to keep an eye on the FS parts section here?

19mm mesh bracelets such as those made in the UK by Shackman for Omega can be found. They look great on a vintage speedy but aren’t easy to locate. Obviously if you’re talking about a 20mm Pro these aren’t any good.

If this is the style you're looking for then there are cheaper aftermarket ones out there from strapcode ect... I haven't seen an aftermarket version that feels like the same quality as genuine tho.

I think I’ve fo Nd a nice one through an OF member. It’s a 20mm ref 2046. It’ll be here next week.
