Mesh bracelet for 1957 Trilogy Speedmaster?

Do Speedmasters look ok on mesh/milanese bracelets? Do they look strange with given the gap left by absent end links? Also, are the mesh bracelets suitable for skinny guys with 6.5" wrists or is there going to be excessive surplus bracelet that makes for a bulky fit?

If a mesh bracelet is something to consider, do you guys have recommendations for where to source one? I think I need a 19mm width bracelet, and would prefer (if at all possible) to track down an Omega-branded one.

My initial searches on the internet turn up various mentions of a JB Champion vintage mesh bracelet that featured on Omega watches from the 60s or 70s. Is it worth it to look into one of these? I think there may be a couple of ebay dealers selling JB Champions. How can I trust that these are authentic?

If OEM is the way to go, which brands do you recommend? And do I want polished or satin finish?

Thanks for any directions you guys can offer!

Not a trilogy watch so not directly relevant but here is a Pro on a modern Staib mesh bracelet, I love the look but it is a bit chunky as it has no taper. This of course has 20mm lugs rather than the 19mm on the straight lugs so won’t fit yours. Personally I don’t think original J B Champion bracelets offer great value at the circa $500-1000 being asked for them these days. MWO state that the JBC was chosen by NASA for its greater likelihood to break if snagged over the std Omega fitments. Hardly a glowing endorsement! There may have been a desire to up the local content too though and I know there are members here who take issue with the suggestion they are less robustly built.

Thanks for sharing. That looks great!

Do you think the Staib can accommodate a skinny wrist?

Hmm not sure it’ll work too well below 7” to be honest. There is adjustability but not loads.

How involved is that process? I’m not that handy, but might be willing to learn.

Does Omega sell a 19mm mesh bracelet? If so, what’s the best way to order one?

Second question: I may be confused. Is there a difference between a Milanese mesh and a shark mesh bracelet? If so, which do you guys prefer and why?

To be clear, I think Archer is talking about the Omega mesh, that technique won't work with the Staib Milanese, that has removable solid blocks to shorten it, has solid end pieces and is in many ways rather more sophisticated and better engineered than Omega's pretty rudimentary Shark mesh.
