Very good unpolished condition. $1,500-$1,800 on a strap? More if on a BOR?

Pie pan?
Dome dial?
Original crown?
Serviced?
Definitely need more info and to see pics.
The hidden crown Connies don’t fetch the same price as a dogleg or lyre-lug.

As the others suggest price originality and condition play a massive price factor, one example can be worth 5 times as much as another if they’re on extreme ends of the scale

Ok, sorry for the delay. The photos are below. Here are the details: 1966 168.004/caliber 561 on an Omega 1503 BOR.
Seller represents that the watch is all original, one owner who took very good care of it, that the dial is NOT refinished/repainted, and the case may have been polished - but he doesn't think so. Owner had the watch serviced every 5-6 years, most recently last year. Thoughts on conditon and price? I'm generally not a straight lug fan, but I have to admit that this one caught my eye.

Good morning @gbesq

The pictures are a little grainy/over-exposed but I think we can see enough to say that this is a nice watch.

The case looks good with the lugs retaining their facets and the bezel still looks well formed.
The medallion is very nice and the later 'brickwork' version which ties in nicely with the date range for the movt.
The movement looks nice and clean and there is no sign of rotor rub, either on the rotor or case back.
The dome dial is correct and very clean with the 'full-index' style lume.
Correct hidden crown.
BOR bracelet is a nice bonus.

I think I'd happily add this watch to my small collection.

A couple of minor points:
the hands have got some pitting on them.
(note: the lume often appears a different, lighter, colour in the hands and I don't think it has been replaced, in case anyone is wondering)
I'm surprised that there is detritus around the bezel/crystal junction if it was serviced just last year and there are no service marks in the case back, if it has been serviced every 5 years - so unless the seller has proof perhaps take those statements with a pinch of salt.
I'm not sure if the case back has a gasket fitted (there is a grey line around the edge, which may be a gasket but the gaskets are usually black and more prominent)

So, value?
First, I'd want better pics to make sure the lug facets are all they seem to be.
Second I'd want proof of service.

As I mentioned previously, these watches don't bring the same price as a dogleg or lyre lug and dome dials less than pie-pans but they are (unfortunately) rising in price
It's a bit difficult talking £s-v-$s at the moment as the pound is so strong, so I'll guesstimate and base my comments on a more sensible assumed exchange rate.

I would say that for this watch, unserviced but including the BOR, $1500 (£1200) would be a good result for the seller as a private sale.
If it a dealer / retail sale it would of course be more.
If the service is proven, then you could adjust your valuation accordingly.

However, if you like the watch and it speaks to you, I wouldn't lose it for the sake of a couple of hundred $s

hope that helps

Agree. These still trade from $1000 without bracelet and there is little to suggest that examples in very good condition will fetch a lot more - the "serious" collector interest isn't there compared to dog-leg Constellations with the same specifications.

I bought one a few years ago at around $1800 and that was a black, pie-pan style dial freshly serviced w/ invoice. It had been for sale for months on a watch forum, so not exactly something that slipped under the radar.

In the past I've sold a couple (non-pie pan) 168.004's in good condition between eur 900 and 1300. But the question how much is something worth depends not only on the watch. It depends also on the place where you sell and the quality of pictures. If you would put this on chrono with good pictures it will easily sell for eur 1250. I bet you that outside pictures in good light and with a good camera will give you fantastic pictures of this watch.

And I've said it before, those skinny dog leg connies are blown away by the 168.004 regarding wrist presence. .. : )

Well, I’ve decided to pass on this one and I’ll probably regret it. It’s a full kit and includes the box and papers. Seller is asking $1,900 USD. For those who may be interested, here’s the link:
Omega Constellation Automatic Chronometer Officially Certified Cal.561 and boxes

Buy it now price is $1900
the seller accepts offers

Say $1500 is an okay price (1250 euros)
Service - say $200
Outer box (uncommon) and inner box (complete with presentation tray) and certificate - say $150
$1500+$200+$150 = $1850

I think you really might regret passing on this watch
