So "restoration" is the new word for "counterfeit"?

I have a few of these in a box somewhere. In the seller's defense, the average person would have no clue because the posts do line up and unless you have the original dial to compare (there is a huge difference in thickness and the corners are rounded to fold over the movement). Before I saw dials like this, the only red flag I had was the posts were lined up for an Asia or ETA mov't.

I really appreciate you pointing out the "why" here. I am extremely interested in the "sport" of vintage watches and Omegas in particular.

This post helps me out tremendously - as does this thread - in passing knowledge on to those of us that are less familiar with (but desire to learn) about classic Omegas.

Wait guys don't get hung up on fonts and lines being too thick, at first glance the dial says Qmega that would be the biggest give away I'm sure.

Also nice how they added T Swiss Made T on the dial even though there is no sign of lume anywhere.
