Something seems a bit off here. The whole face doesnt seem to be a meteorite, just the circles. Am I crazy? http://www.chrono24.com/en/omega/sp...plain=1&tab=pics&urlSubpath=/search/index.htm could this be an early version? they only shaded out two of the numbers so its first 100 i'm looking for a good deal on a Speedeorite if anyone wants to sell
I think it's just the lighting -- All the same, I'd ask for higher res photos in natural light - Meteorite would be pretty hard to fake...and the price of sourcing, and working with actual meteorite wouldn't prove cost effective for Fake watch peddlers... Just go over to @oddboy 's recent post in case you need anymore motivation to pull the trigger on this one!
Agree with @Superdoc, I've seen pictures of Speedyorites frequently wash out all the grain on the dial, its all about proper lighting and resolution. I know nothing of this seller, and of course you will need to do your due diligence, but on face value a mint condition Speedyorite with box and papers is a pretty good buy at the price this is listed for. Good Luck p.s. seriously, do your due diligence on the seller and don't get caught up in the chase. These do come up for sale, so this won't be the only one you have a shot at.
