Early days… will drag out the Sala to dig through timeline. Kinda looks like it all belongs together though.

I found an ad for the Mimometre/Mimometer:

Another Mimometer may be found here:
https://wristreview.com/wristreviews-top-5-obscure-vintage-brands/

The authors of both articles mention Girard Perregaux and not Universal. I think this would be a difficult watch on which to fit a non-original dial, since it was the first calendar wristwatch with a date window. It could be that different branding was used in different countries. Harwood watches were marketed in the US under the name "Perpetual", for example.

More investigation is needed. However, this watch looks like the real thing to me.

Found another Mimometer online with a different brand name:

The dial looks original on this one also.

Interesting. I like it. There is an UG smell around it

Virtually certain to be an original dial, and I'm not convinced that the "Universal" refers to UG.

I reviewed Sala and the timeline history with early examples. Universal Watch was, as most of us know, the 1894 Registered Name of the company that became Universal Geneve. No mention of Mimo as any sort of partner. Further the logo “Universal Watch” is printed on their early watches in a much finer font than this watch. I see no “breadcrumbs” associating this watch with Universal Watch Co.They were also very attentive to trademarks.

I know I’ve said this before in another thread but Universal Geneve has got to
be the most frustrating brand to collect
