Hello together I'm new here and directly need your help. I’ve found this band here on eBay. What do you think? Is this an original one? Does it fit an Omega Constellation Pan Pie?
Which reference Omega Constellation do you have? What end links are on this bracelet? Can't help you a whole lot without knowing this.
Oh sorry, ive got a 14381 61SC. I don’t know which end links are on the bracelet. Aren’t they shown on the pics?
The bracelet is genuine. I'm not sure what endlinks you watch needs but you could search the reference no on this forum to look at for sales listings etc to see what endlinks are commonly used.
Oh, I only just now noticed the numbers on the last picture! In my opinion you should find a five-row BoR instead of a seven-row like this one when you have a Constellation of that reference. The design on the seven-rows is more angular and fits better on dog-leg Constellations or on the versions with hidden crowns.
Not sure. Looks like a fake fand with real clasp to me. Study pics. 5. Different steel colour and texture..... Seller from the UK ? Kind regards. Achim
I am sure that is down to poor photography and lighting, especially on that white background. If anything, I would assume that a (recent) fake would be more homogeneous in appearance.
Here are some shot of one of the more recent fakes found on eBay. The back side of the links is a dead giveaway, plus the individual grains are solid, not folded. OPs bracelet is correct and genuine.
The bracelet looks genuine to my eyes on eBay. 1961 was around the time which there was a change from the 5 to the 7 row. As bracelets were an option, I am would imagine that the 14381 could have come on either a 5 or 7 row bracelet. For what it is worth, I have never seen a ref. 14381 on a bracelet which I thought was original. Regarding the 5 row, your options are: The 11 endlinks with 1502 or 1036 would be period correct, I have seen them from watches on 61-67. The 12 endlinks I also think would be period correct, I have only seen them on a 8220 bracelet. Regarding the 7 row, the correct endlinks are the 70 endlinks from this period (as above), I think the earliest bracelet was the 1037, (but the 1068, 8270 and 1503 would also fit). How much you should be paying I think depends on if it is an auction or buy it now listing. You can pick these up for around £100 if you want to wait, alternatively there are usually a couple on eBay at any one time for around 130-200 depending on condition.
Thanks for the evidence shown. Convinced now, that genuine. Great Forum, I learn everyday . Kind regards . Achim
