·Honestly even if you had a time machine there are so many better uses of $200 in 1970 than todays most collectible vintage watches.
As for the poor sap stuck in 1970: consider he has to perfectly pick the very few models that will be future classics instead of forgotten, he has to store them safely, insure them, and send them in for service regularly if they are used. It sounds like a pretty poor deal to me.
