Making my first Omega purchase. I have found one, a 2254.50, available for $2,850, no box or papers. Watch is said to be in mint condition. It also comes with a watchfacts authenticity report. Would that be a good buy?

Thank you for replying back. Any help is greatly appreciated. Paying around $3000 for something used and online gets me a little hesitant. Plus I'm unfamiliar with Watchfacts. Though I read that some retailers do use them.

Never bought from Watch Vault. Never look at Chrono.
I trust Jomashop.
Not sure at this point who is in possession of this watch 😵‍💫

I trust Jomashop. Is the price the same everywhere?
If it were me and I liked the watch and the price acceptable, I would ask all the sellers if they are actually in possession of the watch. If they all say "yes"...hmmm...

Cool. Appreciate the advice. So Chrono lists the seller as Watch Vault. I reached out to Jomashop now to confirm if the watch is theirs or Watch Vault's.

In your opinion, does the $3k price seem ok for the watch if it is in "mint" and without box and papers?

Again, thank you again. As this is my first big boy watch.

Best place to check would be ebay. Look at sold listings for Omega 2254.50. I see they sold for $2.1K to $2.9K. What price do you put on a 1 yr warrantee from Jomashop? Have you looked here? There is a private and dealer section.

I think it is an awesome watch. I am no expert but would have thought these could be had for 2.5 or less. Maybe I’m wrong or maybe the rising tide effect has trickled down and all watches have been affected.

Nonetheless, IMO its not a bad price for an excellent watch.

This photo was provided as a receipt from service that was done. I looked up the phone number and it comes back to GemOro Goldsmith, out of Canada, who is listed as an Omega retailer off of Omegas website. Seems legit?

Update:-

I contacted the propmaster for Ray Donovan and had it confirmed that this watch was used for Ray Donovan and that Liev also has his own watch which was used in some of the filming too.

That's a pretty cool pickup that is unique enough to have a great story, but not so crazy that you can't feel like you can enjoy it when you want to wear it.
