This Constellation is mostly seen in all stainless steel. This one having a 14K yellow gold bezel and 14K yellow gold overlay on the center links. I also love the fact that the bracelet attaches to the case with screws and not spring bars.
I have the same watch in all steel with a white gold bezel. Both watches are featured in this Omega advertisement from the early 1970's More information here: Nice one! gatorcpa
Even for today's BIG watches this one has a BIG presence on the wrist. I am not huge fan of the integrated bracelets but the lugs on this one are massive. You can put a nick on a lug like this one but you will not bend it. I have seen a few Rolex Submariners and GMTs with tips of the lugs slightly bent and can't imagine this happening with this type of a case. Just replaced the crystal with a correct one from Omega and had the watch serviced. I do not like the die struck gold filled Omega clasp and may make one in solid 14K gold.
Thats my big faced connie you can see the fractures in the glass like dial under magnification. is aprox 40mm square without the crown.
Wow!! cannot say I have seen this one before.Interesting bracelet - a bit like Rolex Oysterquartz but with a twist...
Rarely, you say.... XD Mine's a little different with longer markers and an applied name. Also, gatorcpa, I love that you have that advertisement too. Mine hangs in the hallway where everyone can see it.
Yours has the newer cal. 1021 movement as opposed to the cal. 751 in the OP's and my examples. http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?13&ranfft&&2uswk&Omega_1021 The tell is the bar between the day/date on your watch and the applied "Omega" as well. Note that your watch is not featured in the advertisement I posted above. There should be some similar ads with the newer versions. The older ones are a bit thicker and chunkier. Hope this helps, gatorcpa
Hmm, I guess this one's newer than what's in the ad too based on the applied name. Always great to learn more!
No. That one's in the ad, to the far right. The cal. 1011 (date only) came out a bit earlier than the cal. 1021 (day/date). gatorcpa
