Its such a shame when I see a rare watch I'm actively looking for but in terrible condition.

I've personally never seen a black honeycomb arrowhead dial for sale with white gold markers. Finally found one but in such bad condition I cant pull the trigger.

You guys have examples of rare watches you're hunting that are in too bad condition for you to jump on?

Nothing a half hour with a Sharpie couldn’t fix 😉

It's all about the price and availability.

I found a triple date moonphase in beyond terrible condition, that now has a new dial and it's lovely.
I paid less with parts included than a nice one would have cost.

Same for a couple of quartz seamasters (Black PVD Calypso being one of them) - you can't find them in 'non' terrible condition. You have to live with it/restore them.

Any photos of the tdmp before and after?

With parts being so scarce, i guess you need to be okay with the potential that it will never be restored fully...

Several 13zn’s have popped up lately with knackered dials at prices that make you want to jump on them. Good luck finding a dial though.

Price is 3000 USD so easy pass for me

What a ridiculous price with that soap bar case and trashed dial! I'd love to hear what this seller would ask for one in excellent condition

I would like to buy the watch for say a couple of hundreds, and then totally restore the dial to deep black lustre. A genuine watch - no, but it would look stunning!

Used to have a Synchrobeat but the watch was a project...case holes were worn, missing seconds hand and missing deadbeat components nearly impossible to find. I wasn't sure if it could ever be fixed in my lifetime and maintenance was a worry, so ultimately I decided to let it go for something else that I could actually wear.
