    Hello
I'm thinking of buying this Oris star watch, but there are no info I can find about the watch.
Squale,Technos, zenith etc did similar cases like this one. Any one have any information about this Oris model ?

Other than the caliber, It's not clear what information you are seeking. As you mentioned, the style of the diver was employed by several manufacturers, and you can add CYMA and JLC to the list.

The Oris "star" model came in other types of cases, as well.

I'm thinking if it's hard to find parts , I would like to find a better Bezel and the withe scale in the glass.
I guess if I find parts from for example squale it would mostly fit this case to. You know the caliber ?

Sorry, I don't know the caliber. I do have a nice Oris Star diver, but in a different style case. The bezels are probably interchangeable between the various models of that case, but as most of the watches are fairly expensive, a good one wouldn't likely come cheap.

That is a very stunning looking vintage watch. Is the bezel insert supposed to be bakelite by any chance ?

many manufacturers made their variant of this watch. and like most, most have aged poorly. the bakelite bezel being virtually impossible to replace...then going into the dial and hands, which also suffered quite a bit on many.

there are some watch doctors that can improve the bezel, but it still has to be in a certain condition to do so.

many squale watches identical and from the same era are in very poor condition

i wouldn't buy it. you my think that you can deal with the condition, but once it's in your hands you will see that you won't
