Rare or interesting eBay finds..

So I'm new to this forum, at least when it comes to posting (i've been lurking off an on around here for a couple years). Normally, any question I have, I usually find here after a little research. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to vintage omega's, and watches in general. My niche is old bumpers, but I really like any vintage Omega.

Anyways, I spend alot of time browsing eBay looking at stuff I don't need and can't afford, but hey, what better way to learn? In the past couple weeks I've seen a couple of really interesting pieces come and go, and thought maybe I'd see some threads posted about them here, but alas, no luck. I still have a lot to learn, but there are so many variations and oddballs out there that I often find myself going down those internet rabbit holes after seeing something new pop up for sale.

So I thought I'd make a thread where people could post interesting stuff they've seen pop up on eBay, or equivalent online shops, and exchange info over. It could be stuff for sale now (probably not a good idea if you want a good deal lol), or stuff you saw 10 years ago, I don't care. Everything I post will be stuff I wish I had've snagged but don't own. So this isn't an "is this good deal?" or "did I do alright?" thread, but hell I don't care if it turns into one.

Somebody really wanted it, can't say I blame em, very unique. I watched this auction out of curiosity for a week. Didn't expect it to go as high as it did. I looked all over the forums and only saw one other thread with this "trident" hand. I'm guessing this is the medicus model?

I'm not trying to spam you guys btw, please flag this thread if it doesn't meet the guidelines. Who really reads the terms of service anyhow? I'm new and would rather be flagged than clutter up your board. Just posting s**t I think is cool

Here's another one that got away. I guess the second hand is not original, and yeah yeah the dial is more in the damaged category than patina, but there's something about this one I really like. I personally think the red second hand works great on it, especially with the lume'd hands and markers. I did a little research and saw sold in 2019 for around $370 USD, I guess the guy that bought it didn't dig it and re-listed it. Some chap bought it for $309 but the seller canceled the sale (it's since been re-uploaded at a higher starting price, with a freshly added poor review on the sellers profile)

I admire your enthusiasm and you may find the watches you have posted to be 'rare or interesting' but I'm afraid to say that for the majority here these are neither.

They look like parts watches or at best beaters as they are both unattractive and in very poor shape and I can't see what kind of discussion you are hoping to elicit?

If I were you I'd be happy they got away. Watch one will need a dial, which will prove nigh on impossible to find, and more than likely a service just to make it presentable. You could end up spending an extra two times purchase price on it easily.

Watch two was all its money both times around and as you've noticed the second sale finished too low for the seller who even though he's likely selling due to a case of buyers-remorse, still wants to book a profit...🙄

I think we'll see that one being 'sold' again..and again...and again...
