This dial looks very problematic to me. Scripts & serif are a little bit too thick, and markers have been removed before.
Funny. I had more problems with the black paint structure. It's a bit grainy and did'nt seem real glossy. But who am I...

Actually, the original one is black rhodium-plated, not black paint 😒

Just a question. I was reading about rhodium plating and I've read that jewelers do this (among one of the reasons) to get jewelry look extra bright and shiny (read: glossy). But looking at my phone the surface of the ebay example does'nt look shiny. It rather looks a bit grainy and non glossy. The surface also looks different then the other two rail track examples. Is it me?

The printing of "Swiss Made" also looks fuzzy.

At first glance, i just thought the "12" looks wonky. "2" looks a bit droppy with abit of tarnish and not aligned with the shiny "1".
interesting that you mentioned the markers have been removed before. may i know how do you spot that?

From my research about 1 year ago, I couldn’t find any black and white dial without lume.

I found only gold version that can be (example posted by @Peemacgee )

Looking at the back of the dial we observe that the posts that hold the numerals/markers are clearly seen. If they had not been removed they would had blended with the rest of the dial.

Non-luminous rail tracks are fine. With Arabic numerals, I don’t know.

I wonder if OF killed anyone yet, statistically there should at least be one heart attack and regular panic attacks 😁

If I paid $1750 for this dial, the findings would probably ruin me

On this point, I believe the outer edge of the dial is more “matte” while the inner circle is more “glossy” on this one and the other black dial examples.

I’m not convinced it’s a redial yet.. But would love to know one way or the other.
