Hi All

Picking up a new 60th Anniversary Railmaster in just under a week and the excitement is building! Been lusting after this piece ever since it was announced at Basel. Seen and tried it on a couple of times, in a few boutiques/AD’s in London and have been very close to purchasing but the cost just seemed a little high at the time...
Normally I like to drive everywhere but this time, I thought it would be apt to take a train ride to pick it up. Really hoping the peice turns out perfect! Will post some pics once the giddiness dies down...

One thing you’ll soon realise is that there isn’t a single desirable Omega time piece that @gemini4 doesn’t have. The trick is to prise it from his fingers. I managed to once with a Speedy LE, still trying to with a Ranchero..

These are a nice looking watch. A bit under appreciated (at least by me)

 

I actually liked the Seamaster more at first (I’m not much of a chrongraph person - shock, horror!). I tried both on and the SM sat a little higher compared to the RM. Its mainly going to be worn to the office and IMO the high polish bezel and outer links will look nice with a suit

 

Picked it up today. Really enjoying it! The dial goes from a light grey to almost black. The distortion on the perimeter of the domed crystal adds another dimension when looking at the dial straight on. Really not looking forward to taking it off...
