I thought about buying it but I just got a 14755 so ended up not bidding.

Looking at the last pic provided by the auction house, I鈥檓 thinking the lume looks too nice. Somewhat polished as well.

I am far from an expert but I thought exactly the same and thus refrained from bidding on it.

Gee, certainly looks original to me.

Perhaps, but puffy uniform color radium plots, matching the hands, not something I'm used to seeing in 1957 Railmasters.

Pumpkin Lume flawless applied is all the rage now..... Hands and plots never age exactly the same colour.

That price translates to $20,000.00 (Cdn.)! Really, for THAT! Really?

I must be a bit rusty, the lume looks good to me M.
The dial surface looks great too.

This is close.

Colorwise, very close. But your example also has the recessed wells for the lume plots ......as expected.
The OP example, I don鈥檛 see them.

while I agree you rarely see perfectly matching hands on the Railmaster, these look good to me. I think the dial is telling, generally when the lume crumbles it leaves large burn spots on the dial...this dial just looks to nice to indicate the hands lost original lume. Assuming its completely original and the fact that its a -1 I think the price is actually not bad at all.

The very ends of the lume plots where the point is usually tells you the plots are recessed because the radium does not manage to get into the tight space all the way to the end, I think I see areas there that could indicate recessed plots.
Perhaps the person filling the plots was feeling generous that day?
Could be a Friday afternoon watch 馃榿

Markers 1, 2 and 8 do have a bit of variation....
