Railmaster 135.004-63 with T Swiss Made T ??

Okay, this was touched on in an old 2019 thread started by @DrStrong but not wanting to revive an old thread that really didn’t resolve the issue I thought to start a new post as the intervening years may have brought more knowledge.

So here it is, I also have a Railmaster with a radium dial and radium broad arrow hands but with T Swiss Made T on the dial. Geiger counter confirms all radium.

I have never been sure as to the opinion that the Ts were added by Omega to meet the legal obligations of dials having to have Ts on them after transitioning to tritium so as not to waste dials in a dial shortage period, as that seems deceptive to me. I also doubt that it is a refinished dial as it’s all radium. If it’s real, then quite uncommon I suspect. Would appreciate the thoughts of our members with experience in this area of early Omega dials and Railmasters.

Yep can confirm that the Geiger Reads like all my other Radium dials.

Have you tested the dial with the hands removed to confirm that dial itself has radium and the readings you’re getting aren’t just from radium in the hands?

Good point as that of course will determine if the hands have been replaced. Organising that now, mate. I'll post results.
