Wondering if anyone has recommendations for racing-inspired watch straps, or distressed leather ones? Comfort is first, followed by reasonably price. Brown would be preferred, though black is nice too. Sort of like this: or this: http://www.coolvintagewatches.com/watch-straps/distressed-italian-leather Thanks!
For distressed-type designs, I'd go with Heuerville or DB10. For something more classic and elegant, contact Giuliano (Google his straps first, then feel free to PM me for his email if you'd like one)
I've bought a few straps from Martu Straps in Chile. http://www.martuleather.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html Great products. Not very expensive.
I had a look at these that were recommended on another post/forum, though I can't remember where. I haven't ordered YET... but I have sounded them out and my queries were answered quickly and well, which gave me confidence... just which ones to choose http://www.bandrbands.com/ I'd be interested to hear others experiences as well
I have this http://www.strappedfortime.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=248 on a 2179. It keeps with the period vibe.
GLC straps are also excellent, they don't have so much in the way of racing style, but are really good for vintage www.glcstraps.it
these are the ultimate distressed they are made by Bulang and resold by Hodinkee http://shop.hodinkee.com/collections/all
