As a technical collector (as opposed to a solid gold aesthetics collector ), and also being interested in the history of Swiss movements, I had the chance to grab this for $30.

So why did I do it and what significance does it have?

Looks like a Felsa 690... first bi-directionally winding rotor. Cool watch.

 

The Bidynator was the first caliber to find a way around Rolex's patent on the 360˚ rotor.

 

That's the sort of thing I would buy and them blame it on alcohol and eBay not mixing.
