I've recently found one of these Seamster Calendars, the pictures attached are the same as the watch I have found. Wondering about the originality of these watches, ref for both should be 14701-1SC looking at the case and caseback, with a cal 562. I've done a lot of research on the 14701 models and these are the only examples I've found that are the same as the watch I have, same dial and hands. Any insight is appreciated!
My understanding is that the 14701 should have dauphine hands not alpha - that's how it's shown in the archive anyway. Will find a pic of mine in a bit!
Do you have any knowledge of this "calendar" dial being on the 14701? I've found a few but not sure if they are franken.
The 14700 is time only but the 14701 does have a date window. Only other things I've noticed are wrong crown on first photo and second one looks over polished.
Ah didn't know that - so does it work both ways? are dauphine also OK on a 14700? I've got a 14701 but actually prefer the simpler dial of a 14700 but not the alpha hands!
Not sure tbh - will have a look at mine later but think it's OK. (not that there's any guarantee mine is correct!)
Looks fine to me. There was a discussion about the absence of minute/second tracks in another thread recently. Sooo many dial variations.
