Questions on NIB Older Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronometer with calibre3133

first time posting so apologies upfront if this has been discussed many times over as I just discovered this very informative site.

Here’s my story:
I purchased a NIB POC from a grey market dealer specifically because I wanted smaller 37.5mm bezel and the hippocampus back to fit my small wrist. Once I received the watch, I called my local Omega boutique and gave them serial number and was told it contains calibre 3133b. I’ve tried the chronometer pushes multiple times and works fine. Is keeping time, albeit it’s been only 24 hours of operation.

My questions:
1. Omega could tell me calibre for my watch is 3133b but couldn’t tell me year of manufacture. Can anyone help here?

2. Should I be concerned that I don’t have calibre 3133c? Heard that 3133b fixed initial issues with some 3133a units, which is a good thing. But, should I add expense of immediate service, even if never worn? Should I specify that I need an upgrade to 3133c? How much does an upgrade and it srrvicevrun these days?

3. From my cursory research on serial numbers, it appears my watch was probably manufactured in 2007 or 2008 which means the watch may have been sitting for a decade albeit NIB.

4. Attached are 2 photos, front bezel and serial number on lug. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

it’s a 222.18.38.50.01.001

It’s no later then 2011 as that movement was phased out when the 2nd generation Planet Oceans dropped, with the B.... I’d assume 2007 or 08 sounds about right.

My 78.5m is a very late production one.

It’s a 3313 by the way, not 3133.

The 3313C would be the preferred movement, but as long as the watch works fine, don’t worry about it, when you send it in for service at Omega, they will update the movement from what others have said, so it will eventually get to the C revision if you send it to Omega when it’s due for service.

Cheers, Al

Archer, Thank you for your advice, and sorry for my dyslexia on the movement number!
