OF is unbelievable... I was just doing a quick "survey" of owning a bumper in the near future(possibly Christmas), and you people have just managed to push me to pull the trigger in a few days. .....Expect an update on that in another few
I really need to spend less time here 😀

So I found this on our French comrades' forum. Basically, it says that comparing the Omega, Zenith, JLC and Movado bumpers, the OP found that:
1. In terms of accuracy and efficiency, the Omega and Zenith were both efficient and accurate, the JLC was accurate but inefficient, while the Movado was efficient but inaccurate.
2. In terms of noise, from quietest to loudest: Omega, Zenith, JLC, Movado

Do you agree/disagree with this or have anything else to add? What about other brands? (Looking at you, UG)

UG bumper was relatively ineffective due to one direction auto-winding only, leading to some hand winding first. However once it goes, and you have a good amount of movement, it runs pretty well and strong, accurate esp. since there were chronomoter rated versions released too.

Has there ever been a bumper automatic in which the rotor wound in both directions? If there is, I have never seen or heard about such a movement.

This is why they call me “The Enabler”

Why not get the very first bumper automatic? Patented by John Harwood and produced for his company by both Fortis and Blancpain.
