I'm in the process of restoring my 300, with lots of help from forum posts as reference. I need to replace the 3 little ruby rachet bearings and their associated springs for the bezel to click when rotating. I note that these should correspond to Omega parts 085ST0030 for the springs, and 099ST0029 for the ruby bearings. The spring part number is not available at Ofrei, but is available at Cousing UK. however their description of the part is that it is a "clasp spring" I've emailed them for clarification but wanted to know if any forum members had ordered this part from Cousins and received the correct springs. Also at Cousins, the ruby spheres are listed as "ball bearing", and that description and the relatively low price leads me to think these are metal, not ruby. So, does anyone know if these are now metal? Should I care? I see I can get ruby ones from ebay but they are 3 times the price. Thanks David
I've ordered both. The "ball bearings" that I got were rubies, and the clasp springs were the proper ruby springs.
I can confirm the parts are correct, and the bearing is a ruby. Cousins restricts the sale to 1 of each item per order. You need 3 of each, so 3 shipping charges
thx, Ive found a schematic from cousins old website but i cant seem to find the parts by the numbers. By the way, could you use generic movement clasps or did you have to order omega specific?
