hi there I’m eyeing on this speedy but there seems to be a reflection or dent. Is that just a reflection or is it a dent in the photo thanks. I would like some advises. They can’t answer any questions till mon and sales is ending soon. Appreciate all advises.
I'd say that's likely a dent and one which used to be larger, but someone has tried polishing it out.
They are crap pictures, so if by the seller, methinks he is trying to mislead and confuse you Walk away These are not rare so be patient
I think it’s a reflection, but agree- the seller is sending you crap pictures. If you have asked directly for a sharp picture of the lower right lug from a different perspective and this is what he sent, then he is being evasive- and for that I would walk. These watches are not rare. But if the price is great, and you really want a daily wear and not a safe queen,then I wouldn’t sweat it even if it was a dent. The rest of the case seems fairly strait albeit a bit polished and the dial is attractive.
Nobody is gonna jump your claim, share the price and the group can tell you if it’s actually great for that watch
US, Gbp, Eur?? Have you asked for another picture of that lug? I still think it's a dent not a reflection.
If USD,and it’s an 80’s/90’s era SMP, that’s not a “great” price- it’s a fair price from what I have seen. If he offers an inspection period then there is little risk. If you’re comfortable with the price, then go for it.
If it was a hit hard enough to put a deep gouge in it like that and still not come out with the polish job it’s had, I would be curious about what kind of internal damage it had.
While it does look like a reflection of a light fixture in the ceiling, it is also true that that lug has had its end polished down, so that it is slightly foreshortened and the curve downward is wrong. I think.
