Question about the 12-hr. register on a 3570.50

The way I understand most chronographs, the hour totalizer will click to halfway between markers when 30 minutes have passed, then to the marker after 60.
The totalizer on my 3570.50 seems to move in smaller steps, at about 10 minute intervals.
That is to say, after 10 minutes the hour counter is about 1/4 between markers, halfway (as usual) at 30, about 3/4 of the way at 20 minutes, and continues in the same manner at 40 and 50 until the hour marker is finally reached at 60.
Is this normal? Is it a problem? As long as it hits the hour markers at 60 I guess I'm okay with it, but I don't want to let a problem (if it is one) get worse.

The hour recorder does not move in steps. It moves constantly, making one revolution in 12 hours.

Ah, Mr. Archer, I was hoping you'd reply! The 1861 is not like a 7750 in that regard (if I'm correct about the 7750, that is). All is well, then.
    Thank you.

7750 works the same way. Both hour recorders are driven by a pinion the is connected to the mainspring barrel, and when the chronograph is on, it runs constantly.
