Looking to buy a Ploprof 1200
Found one on eBay ( I know, not a good place to look)
    It's out of Japan
Red flags are 2 in my opinion
    Description says Brand : None
And the serial number on the pictures reads
    82040205
Everything I read on line ponts to a 2007 production date, is my understanding that this watch was introduced at Bezel world 2009 and took a few years to be sold to the public.
Went on to other sites ( Crown and caliber and such ) and their watches also shows 82XXXXXX serial number with one showing 87XXXXXX
    I'm I missing something?
Does Ploprof have a different serial number sequence ?
    Also
Is Japan becoming a place where counterfeits come from now ?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I've picked up a couple watches from Japanese sellers and it worked out just fine (and got a good deal as well). Expedited and tracked shipping (I like Fedex) is a good idea/upgrade and also to be aware of what your duties will look like so there's no shock once it arrives.
