·Several years ago (before I knew anything about watches) I was looking for the "bond" seamaster with the blue wave dial. I found a listing on ebay for the 2200.80.00 that was supposedly unworn. I bought the watch and it came with the usual stuff, inner/outer box, warranty card, metal bracelet, etc. It was pretty clear the watch had actually been worn with the stickers reapplied but since I couldn't find a mark anywhere I decided to let it slide as the watch was long out of production. I loved the watch and immediately put it into regular rotation.
I recently noticed it has the reference 2920.80.91 listed on it's card, which I believe came with a rubber strap and not the metal bracelet. Why would somebody sell it with the metal bracelet instead? Is my watch a fake? What's most likely going on? I still love it and wear it regularly. The blue wave dial is just gorgeous. Here are a couple pics including a nato I recently put on it.
Thanks so much for your help, this forum has been teaching me so much!
