·Hi all, new to the forum.
I’ve recently been passed a matching pair of vintage his & her De Villes. (No picks as getting serviced locally).
They have little monetary value however hold considerable sentimental.
The men’s is working ok, however…
The ladies watch movement - 1471 quartz is start/stop every 25mins or so. My local watchmaker has hereby determined the circuit is likely at fault and it needs a new movement.
I’ve taken a quick look online and the 1471 appears harder to source than first anticipated but that a ETA 282.002 is potentially a reasonable alternative.
Would anyone in the forum be able to advise for/against this change before I attempt to order a movement, and is there anything else I should look out for.
Cheers
Mark
