A quartz lady watch not working? It worth almost nothing in my opinion.. I am not sure I would even spend 50$/£/€ on it. Look for something working! But I am not an expert at all! If you like gambling.... perhaps the battery is the sole problem, who knows...?

Unless there's a very special reason you want this particular model and are willing to spend up to ten times what it's worth to get it fixed leave it alone.

A "local watchmaker" with any expertise will have nothing to do with it, a "local in-mall battery changer" may render it completely dead. Watchmakers who can deal with these old quartz models are scarcer than those who can handle mechanical movements from the same era -- check out the number of questions from people searching for a watchmaker and see how many times they are told to mail their watch across the country or even to another continent -- and then think "even scarcer". If you take it to an Omega dealer they will tell you all they can do is send it to Switzerland and it is going to be expensive, very expensive, it will work when it comes back though. It may be that all it needs is a new battery, perhaps 1-5% chance. It may be that the old battery has been left in there, has leaked and corroded the movement, that's a 95-99% chance.

I have said "OK, send it to Switzerland" but that was for a slightly earlier quartz watch that I had owned from new and also had memories attached to it. Oh, and I hadn't discovered Omega Forums then and knew next to nothing about watches. Contributors here do know about watches. Read carefully.

omega constellation 1382/
Original

If that’s original, I hope the the designer was taken out and whipped!

I’ve seen better looking watches on my local market at two for £15.

So many better watches out there, and paying that much for a watch when the seller can’t be bothered to stick a £5 battery in to prove it works? Madness!

I also have a faulty quartz OMEGA 1418/70 cal.1430. I put it on the local market. But I don't know if I'm asking a fair price. But they seem to be fine with the design.

I have already lowered the price to 200, but I think that the fair price will still be around 150-170. What do you think ?

As others have said, without a clear picture with the case back removed to verify there a battery did not leak and ruin the movement, I wouldn’t pay a dime for this watch. The chances of it being in bad shape and really expensive to repair are just too high. If you want an inexpensive quartz watch, there are plenty of new ones (non Omega, of course) from lots of Swiss brands you can get for the same price the seller is asking for this that not only look better, but will not be a money pit.

If you really, really want a quartz Omega, don’t go cheap and get one that is verified working!
