    Hi guys,
I've been saving money for some time to purchase my grail Omega SMP or PO. However as my wrists are around 17-18cm (around 6 3/4 inches) and in general I prefer smaller <38mm watches, I worry that the "standard" >40mm SMP or PO won't fit my wrist. Now I know that in the past Omega had SMP in 36,25mm (212.30.36.20.01.002) and PO in 37,5mm (232.30.38.20.01.001), however I don't think the SMP is available anymore and the PO is as I understand two generations behind the current models in 39,5mm and up.
As I don't know much about Omega's product cycles I would like to ask for an advice: Is there any info if Omega plans on releasing a new 36,25mm SMP / 37,5 PO? If yes, do we know when? Can we expect from them the same general specs and colors as from the bigger models (the white dial SMP in 36,25mm would be awesome)?

    Thanks

I’ve been considering a transition to smaller watches and tried both the 39.5mm PO and a 36mm SMP that the AD still had in stock.

More than the size, the weight is probably more obvious with the PO “feeling” significantly heavier than the SMP. That being said the PO appealed more because of the simple 3 link bracelet and its taper.

If I got the SMP, I’d be swapping out that bracelet with the one comes on the 2252.50

my wrist size is 7.25” for reference.

That's why I'm switching to Forstner Komfit (package is on the way).

Thanks for your posts and pictures. As I looked further it sure seems that the 39,5mm PO is now the smallest size the PO will be available. The 45mm lug to lug width should great for my wrist.
However before I make the decision I would still like to see a midsize SMP in 36,25mm to compare it with the PO as there are elements of the SMP design that I prefer over the PO. Omega to this day hasn't updated the midsize SMP to match the rest of the SMP lineup which got significant movement and design updates in 2018. What you think are the chances Omega will do that and update it in, lets say 2021 or 2022?
As I see it or at least I hope what the situation is, is that Omega has prioritized the "large" size model since it shifts more sales and the midsize would require more resources to adapt the 8800 movement for it. Or does Omega have a comparable movement to the 8800 that would fit the midsize case?

One more detail about PO 39.5mm: it has 19mm lug size. Straps of this size are far less popular.

The first picture is the midsize SMP in black. It is the variant with the smooth gloss dial and 2500D movement.
