Awaiting delivery of my watch, next week from Jomashop. Was somewhat nervous, lots of positive and negative reviews. But I live in the Philippines and not many options available to me. The watch I bought, was an impulse buy. I'm almost 75 and my Edox watch batteries died, and my 2 Edox watches are a bit too heavy. Good choice the Seamaster (42mm)? I also have a 2005 Seamaster, not worn in 5 years. No one available to service it, and the stem is loose. Happy I didn't use a watch store to send it for repair, before the pandemic because they went out of business and would have lost my watch. Love that particular watch, so the time came to order another one. Impulse buy for sure (₱$4,150 plus prepaid Duty and Tax $5,000) because perhaps I should have bought new for a few hundred more, but the color scheme I got was new only by special order. Don't even know the year of manufacture of my new watch, until research after it arrives. Feeling confident about it, must be a 2021 or later model due to the price paid. Any thoughts?

Did you buy the Seamaster on a rubber strap? Because if you bought the bracelet and thought the Edox was heavy....

Yes, my new Omega has the stainless steel bracelet, but my Edox is 45mm (larger) and definitely heavier, when compared with my old Seamaster (42mm). BTW, my 2 Edox watches have a 22mm stainless band versus 20mm for the Seamaster. My old Seamaster feels good on my wrist. A lot smaller than the Edox.

you could also send your 2005 seamaster back to Omega for a full service! It's cost some money, but you will get all the problem fixed and have two functional seamasters 😀

My issue is I am located in the Philippines and sending my Seamaster to the U.S. may present issues.

I have another Seamaster and when compared to my Edox watch the Seamaster by far is lighter. Besides, the Seamaster is smaller which makes it a greater experience. The Edox looks very good, but no comparison to the excellent appearance of my Seamaster!

There are a bunch of Omega boutiques in PH, specifically Manila, you can call them up and they would be happy to assist you on getting your watch serviced. See the link below for the full list of boutiques:
https://www.omegawatches.com/custom...osLng=121.774017&posQuery=Philippines&zoom=14

Here in Singapore, you can give the boutique your watch and they will take care of the entire shipping and servicing logistics. It's very possible that you can do the same in PH.

There was such a place in Cebu City, Philippines, but they went out of business. I will locate another source. Thanks for your comment.
